ASD Classroom Sensory Toys

Help me give my students materials that will support their educational, SEL, and sensory needs in our special education pre-K class.

My Project

Our classroom currently services students ages 3-5 years old with special needs. These items will enhance the learning and experience of my students. The items requested will help to create a calming are which will provide picture supports and sensory stimulation for students to go to when they need to regulate their emotions, unwind, and relax. With the proper tools, these will help students to ease their stress, anxiety, and frustration that they may face throughout the day.

The goal of this project is to give a safe area for students to go to where they can calm down and regulate their emotions.

All of these items will be utilized with our special education students many of whom have been diagnosed with Autism. My staff and I would like to create a safe space for our students to go to where they can take a sensory break of their choice. Here they will be able to recharge and refocus.
