Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I've been blessed with a great group a students who continue to amaze me. They all love arts and crafts, as well as their "Social Friday's Play". My classroom consists of 14 special needs kids, all with various abilities. During social play my student love to play with magnetic tiles but there is not enough for all of them to play with. I would love to add sets to our classroom for all of them to be able to play together and be able to create their wonderful masterpieces. My students also enjoy to play with puzzles which helps build cognitive and fine motor skills.

My seventh and eighth graders have the opportunity to enjoy an elective, art, my sixth graders do not.

I love for all of them to be able to express their artistic abilities. We do arts and crafts on wednesdays and materials go by fast. The art supplies as well as the puzzles and magnetic tiles would be a welcome addition to our classroom. I love for my students to be able to express themselves and enjoy learning through cross-curricular teaching.
