Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
I teach a phenomenal third-grade class at a TK-5 school in Southern California. Our students come from low socioeconomic backgrounds, but we make the most of what we have.
Our school is very diverse with a very large population of English language learners.
Every student enrolled at our school receives free breakfast and lunch daily. Even with all the challenges presented to these students each day, they are ready and willing to learn. My students are just starting out and are learning the importance of school.
My Project
Students love art! Just mention the word A-R-T and they go crazy! Unfortunately there are not many opportunities for the teaching of Visual and Performing Arts in schools today. Yet it remains a favorite for students of all ages!
Help me help my students learn how to express their creative side while learning about different artists and techniques using a variety of mediums!
With the requested markers, paper, and pencil sharpeners students will be excited and motivated to learn how to draw Rhythmic Landscapes, Resist Oil Paintings, Rangoli Art, Self Portraits, and more!
Thank you for your consideration in donating to our project!
