Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Students

I have an awesome group of kiddos that I truly adore with all of my heart. They are very outgoing and full of fun and laughter. I never have a dull day with these children.

My students have unique personalities, are resilient, full of surprises and creativity and are waiting for an outlet to express their true capacity.

Each day, learning is a new adventure for my students and they look forward to becoming their best self they can be.

My Project

My students are very talented and need opportunities to practice and showcase their written and visual voice. They will be creating portfolios of their creative expressions with illustrations. They have been practicing writing poetry and are ready to start creating their own books.

My students will be using these resources to write books, complete with original illustrations in pencil and watercolors that they will be able to use for their educational portfolio.

Students will also be creating works of art they will be able to frame, take home and show their families. This will help to build my students' confidence in the many ways they can express their understanding, passions, and dreams.
