This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Project
My students are wonderful children who have experienced their fair share of traumatic experiences as a result of the community in which they reside. They are very resilient and look forward to coming to school prepared to learn. In addition to the required curriculum, our students need an opportunity to express themselves in a way that allows them to decompress.
Please help me provide my students with art supplies to create an abstract self expression piece.
Students will use canvas, acrylic and metallic paint, to create an air/marble art piece that shows beauty in individuality. While students will use the same supplies, the outcome of each piece will vary demonstrating the difference and beauty in each of them. The art pieces will be put on display in various places on campus.
