Staying at home during the pandemic is challenging for adults and children. But what better way to pass the time than to travel to far away lands to experience different foods, cultures, languages, and activities. Help me take my students on a literary journey into the world of Roald Dahl, the number one story teller of all times. This summer, I am hosting a reading club entitled The COVID-19 Face in a Book Challenge. Instead of going on social media sites like Facebook, we will put our face in a book and travel to England to hang out with Mr. Roald Dahl. Our goal is to read four Roald Dahl books during the summer. We would like to read: Matilda, The BFG, The Magic Finger, and The Witches. We will also delve into research to unmask the author Roald Dahl by reading the book "Who Was Roald Dahl "and complete an author study on him.
