Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My classroom size is 22 students. We are a Title I school centered in San Francisco's Mission District and many of our students are English language learners.

The students in my classroom are inquisitive, they strive to work hard and are eager to learn every day!

Their bright smiles and sense of curiosity will brighten anyone’s day. Currently my students are back in the classroom learning and I want to assure that they have all of the tools they need to develop their 21st century literacy and math skills. We are discovering, learning manners, social skills, academics, and tons more!

My Project

Help me support my students' learning by giving them art supplies and new floor puzzles!

I want to make Transitional Kindergarten both engaging and fun through the use of colorful art supplies and puzzles.

These new materials will be used primarily during literacy and math centers as they work in small groups with me.

My students will use these floor puzzles to strengthen their cognitive thinking, math skills and practice cooperating in a group. The art supplies will be used in various ways to facilitate learning in a creative and hands on way! I can just imagine how these colorful supplies will add enjoyment and fun to our classroom learning.

This project will directly impact historically underfunded classrooms.
