My Students

I am a third year 2nd grade teacher at a Title I school in Oakland where over eighty percent of our student population receives free school lunch. Our school is filled with wonderful, capable, creative and resourceful students and families.

I am committed to helping my students fall in love with learning by providing them with experiences that open their minds and spark their creativity and curiosity.

The students at my school are a bright, creative, and empathetic; it's an honor to be their teacher and watch them grow.

My Project

Our students love art! Art projects are not only incredibly engaging for students, but also help them develop fine-motor skills, confidence, and deepen their connections in subjects we are learning.

We need to refresh our art supply cabinet with watercolor paper, colored pencils, and a working pencil sharpener to keep our classroom buzzing with creative energy.

I also included hand sanitizing wipes which help us keep our hands and classroom clean while teaching in the times of COVID-19.

These supplies may seem basic but they make a world of difference in our classroom!
