Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I love that each student has their own story that makes them unique. What makes them so special is their background, where they came from and who they are. Some students might be non verbal, speak a different language and have multiple learning disabilities. Having these students be able to express their thoughts and emotions can be difficult.

I picked these materials to help give my students a mental break when it comes to how they are feeling that particular day.

Each object is something to strengthen their senses, visually or tactile in the art classroom. The LEGO and tile wall is to help give students a chance to pause and cool down by using their hands to either build or feel. The art games and building straws are to give students a reward who finish projects early. The games are centered around making art fun! With a Pictionary style game and a memory game based off famous artist and their work.
