Every teacher needs to provide a safe and brave space where students feel trusting and comfortable to learn. Students who feel safe, honored, respected, and happy, have the emotional and intellectual freedom to focus on their schooling.
The Anti-Racist Parent/Educator workshop involves a small cohort of parents and educators who will work together and discuss the vocabulary, activities, resources, and other tools needed to "empower children to be upstanders and not bystanders to racial inequality."
This workshop will take place virtually during the month of June. The registration includes all four 75 minute sessions which will provide education and actionable steps to take at home, in school, and in the community. The workshop is tailored not only for an individualized experience but also provides tips to incorporate anti-racist practices into daily parenting/teaching styles, lesson plans, and curricula.
