Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Project

My students in kindergarten through 5th grade are curious and inquisitive! Being able to learn with a hands-on approach helps to reinforce concepts that we are learning in class. I am requesting the Roland SP 404 Mk II Sampler so that students can advance to the next level in their study of digital music production.

With this sampler, students will learn how to chop up and trigger audio samples, making entirely new works of art just like all the greats that have come before us!

We have worked on the basics of beat-making and my students are very confident in their skills. The next stage would be to incorporate sampling into our beat-making process.
