My Students

My students are eager and energetic learners that get excited about learning new things. We are a Title I school, with over 50% of our students receiving free or reduced lunch. Our students work very hard daily and constantly want to learn more.

This school year presents us with many new challenges.

My goal is to make sure all of my students’ needs are met, even with Covid related restrictions in place. I am also working to ensure students catch up from learning loss due to a full year of remote instruction last year.

My Project

Having a centralized spot in the classroom to house anchor charts for all academic subjects will help students review previously learned content. Students will have the ability, as needed, to look at visual representations and models of content learned in class. Many students are visual learners and need a poster or anchor chart to remind them the step of solving math problems or definitions of content related vocabulary.

With this anchor chart stand and paper, I will be able to provide my students with review, even when I am working with individual students or in small groups.

They will be able to independently visit the chart stand and access what they need.

This project will directly impact historically underfunded classrooms.
