My Students

I have 25, terrific, first grade students this year. I will be looping with them as I had them all for kindergarten virtually last year. Teaching is my absolute passion and I love to watch children grow both as individuals and as learners. This year will be another challenging one as the pandemic is still going on and our ways of doing things in school must shift.

My students are very hard workers and last year they showed me that they work through obstacles and hard times.

I know that parts of this year may be a challenge, but I have no doubt that my students are up for it. We are excited to be back in the classroom and learning together.

My Project

We do a lot in first grade. My kids are constantly learning new skills and expected to remember them. I am always thinking of new ways to help them along the way. One of those ways is by using anchor charts throughout our room.

Anchor charts will allow my students the chance to refer back to work previously learned.

They will learn to use these charts as references to complete their work and to be successful. It is my hope that by doing this, my students will feel successful.

I also am asking for sticky notes so that my students can help me mark up our charts. Of course the markers will make learning that much more fun for my kiddos. I hope you will consider this project!
