Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students are immersed each day in our highly rigorous dual-language program. They are eager to use Spanish in classrooms as they intentionally interact with each other in a variety of activities. My Caballeros are inquisitive, bilingual learners. They are learning Spanish while still improving their English language.

Our little school is a one-way immersion program where my students learn Spanish as their second language.

My students' Spanish is a heritage language, a language spoken by grandparents or great-grandparents.

My little learners are a rambunctious group of curious, hardworking individuals. They have so much energy. My students come to school every day and share their stories. Oh, boy, the stories!

My students, like all students, deserve to have the best to learn. If our kids are excited about the learning that happens every day, it's because we match that enthusiasm for learning and teaching. Please support my classroom and the vision I have for them.

My Project

My project requests anchor chart paper to provide my students with engaging charts to place around the room. Also, we work in cooperative groups and students use chart paper and markers to write as groups. In second grade we learn a lot from anchor charts.

Chart paper is one of the most expensive school items needed and the most used in the classroom.

My students work with these charts adding more information and referring to them on a daily basis.
