Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

As a grade 3 teacher in an inner-city school, there is always a need for resources and I am willing to go to any lengths to get my students the resources they need! Why? They deserve a top-notch education as any child does. They already struggle with academics, as 100% are second language English learners and they need even more resources and support.

In our school, 100% of our students qualify to receive free or reduced-price lunches, so there is a definite economic need for these resources.

I thank you for looking at my project page and I thank you from the bottom of my heart on behalf of my students and their families.

My Project

These anchor charts will make a huge difference in student learning. Research shows that anchor charts are an important feature of the effective, instructive classroom! They need to be created with the children and posted for visual reference. These anchor charts must change regularly! The older ones need to be taken down and new ones need to be put up!

Students can reference these charts as they complete independent work and they use them every single day and we create new anchor charts constantly for the classroom!

I have found that the Post It self-stick charts have been the best for the classroom. They have superior hold and the paper is the needed thickness to hold up to the poster markers! These charts last a long time on the wall and the colors do not fade on this paper! Daily, I see students looking to the anchor charts to find information and double check the spelling or math procedure. I hope to be well-stocked for the new year!
