This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My students are some of the most resilient people I have met. After having a series of substitute teachers first semester, they finally have a teacher. I am stepping into a location where there is a large population of English language learners, and this project will help close their learning gap. While in our podcast unit, students will need this technology, the MacBook Pro and headphones, to have the ability to complete the work in class.

By donating to our project, you will not only help to improve and increase student attention and focus, but you will also help to increase their academic achievement through technology.

Students will be able to simply focus on the academic material at hand, and not on whether their materials are going to work or not. Plus in this technology-literate world, any interaction with updated technology will increase their literacy as well as their desire to learn and use the new technology! This project will allow students to better develop literacy skills for class and life beyond!

This project will directly impact historically underfunded classrooms.
