Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
I teach in a kindergarten class that has children at all different levels. Some are learning how to read, while others are still learning their alphabet, sounds, beginning sounds, or ending sounds. Some of my students have learning disabilities in which having hands-on materials keeps them more engaged and can be altered to meet their learning abilities. Having a variety of materials will make it easier to teach each child at their learning ability and maintain focus during our center time.
My Project
Apple tools gives both the teacher and students flexibility in the classroom and the learning process. I will be able to move around the classroom and make informal observations which I won’t have to worry about misplacing. It will also allow me to manage behavior better because I won’t have to spend time filing away paperwork. This will, in turn, allow me to be more engaging and give my students access to me at any time. Most importantly, my students will be able to demonstrate and access their learning through technology. During this time of virtual learning, having the iPad will help me share games with my students while interacting with them as well!
