This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Starting as a new teacher is an incredible journey, but it comes with physical and logistical challenges. One of the most overlooked hurdles is "teacher voice fatigue." New educators often find themselves straining to be heard over the hum of a busy classroom, leading to vocal exhaustion.

This project seeks to provide our new teaching staff with two essential audio toolkits, wireless voice amplifiers for teachers and USB headphones to replace broken and damaged headphones from the last campaign.

New wireless voice amplifiers will allow teachers to speak in a natural, conversational volume while being heard clearly by every student, even those in the back of the room. This protects the teacher’s vocal health and ensures that directions are never missed.

The USB headphones I've asked for are durable, high-quality headphones will replace broken sets in our classrooms. They are essential for personalized learning; it allows students to engage with iReady reading and phonics programs, as well as STEM modules, without distraction. This is particularly important for students that have ADHD because over-the-ear headphones can help them drown out any other noise in the classroom.

When a teacher can communicate without straining, the classroom environment remains calm and focused. When students have working headphones, they can dive deep into their individualized learning paths. Your donation will ensure that our newest teachers start their careers with the professional tools they need to lead, and our students have the technology they need to succeed.
