Rather than just relying paper play money, students now have their own digital bank accounts where they can deposit their cash, view their balances, transfer funds, and manage their finances just like adults do in the real world. \r\n\r\nThrough ClassBank, my students are learning to manage checking and savings accounts and earn paychecks from their classroom jobs. It provides a safe, realistic environment for them to make financial decisions—and mistakes—before the stakes are real. The snacks you funded serve as the inventory for our classroom store, giving students a tangible goal to save for. \r\n\r\nThank you for believing in my students and for helping me provide them with the resources to become financially savvy young adults. Reading about urban gardening in such an accessible story sparked their curiosity and opened their eyes to the possibilities within their own community. The book has served as a powerful catalyst to ignite a passion for hands-on learning to connect with the natural world.\r\n\r\nWhen the time came to get our hands dirty, the students' excitement was palpable. They were curious and eager to tackle the defunct raised beds, pulling weeds with an enthusiasm; armed with the simple tools and gloves your donations provided, they transformed the space into a vibrant garden, planting tomatoes, cucumbers, basil, and sweet peas.\r\n\r\nThe project was a resounding success, not only in the tangible results of a beautiful garden but also in the intangible lessons learned. For weeks after our planting was done, my students would ask, \"When can we garden again?\" Your generosity has cultivated not just a garden but also a newfound passion for learning, a deeper understanding of where our food comes from, and a sense of empowerment in our students.\r\n\r\nThank you once again for your support. Providing students with books that genuinely excite them is the key to fostering a lifelong love of reading. Your support does that. You give them powerful reasons to pick up books, get lost in a story, and strengthen their literacy skills along the way.\r\n\r\nIt's funny—nearly every day in my classroom, I hear students buzzing about the latest adventures of the Straw Hat Pirates. They talk about the characters and plot twists of One Piece with so much passion, despite it being one of the few popular manga and anime series that I've never personally read or watched! But their interest is infectious. To connect with their world, I've been handing out One Piece collectible cards as a fun reward for students who successfully complete their iReady lessons. Seeing their faces light up for a simple card shows how much they adore this series, and I know that having the actual manga in our classroom will be a complete game-changer for them.\r\n\r\nThank you for seeing the value in connecting with students through their interests. I've found that using play money with these younger students has an even greater impact than I could have imagined. They have such a natural curiosity and enthusiasm, and the \"buy-in\" to our classroom store is incredible to witness. They are so eager to learn and participate, and it's amazing to see them grasp financial concepts at such a young age.\r\n\r\nIntroducing financial literacy at this earlier stage is truly setting them up for a successful future. Thanks to your generous donation, the art students at Mt. Healthy South Elementary School were able to complete not one, but two legacy projects! \r\n The original project was to create a Kindness Rock Garden at the school. The students in the after school art club were able to complete over 150 painted rocks. The rocks were placed in the glass display case in the art wing to showcase the dedication the art club had to the students and staff of South. Some of the rocks will stay with the school and be cemented into the permanent garden. The students were able to paint kindness rocks to take home and share with their families. They were able to paint kindness/thank you rocks to give to their teachers and school staff for appreciation week and they were able to make a few to keep and start their own garden at home. \r\n The art club students have already begun planning what they will do over the summer to continue the motivational kindness rock gardens. \r\n As I stated, I was able to complete a second legacy project using the paint pens that you helped purchase. Each of our 6th grade students were able to paint a 4\"x4\" wooden tile to represent their time spent here at South Elementary School. Most of my students knew what the paint pens were but had never gotten to try them. They had a blast researching images and painting the tiles. The tiles will be hung in the entrance hall to the building. Each homeroom will spell a letter in the word OWLS. This is our district mascot. The tiles will be hung as a legacy for the students to see if and when they return to visit. \r\n I am very grateful for your dedication to students and your choice to help my art program.
