This is the companion to my project "Amp it up", in which I am hoping to replace my 1990s bass amp with a new one that puts forth sound without the stress of it not working! As many of you know, when you work in a small rural school where there is no extra money, you use and use until it can't be used anymore, and then hope to be able to replace the item you so desperately need before money runs out and a performance comes up.
This project will provide a safe means of storing and moving the new amp safely.
The cart is capable of holding 400 lbs and has a 3.5" lip. I know this will keep the amp from sliding off, and will easily hold the weight of the amp. This project also provides new cables (our have duct tape on both ends) to plug the bass guitar into the amp, a new extension cord with surge protector (our orange one is also duct taped in several areas), and a dust cover to keep the amp clean when not in use. We want to take care of the good things we have so they can last.
