This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Coming to a new country as a pre-teen, learning a new language and culture is hard. Add on top of that having to learn the history and prominent leaders, can sometimes be overwhelming.

American history can be hard, especially if you're new to the country.

Help me provide a wide variety of biographies and historical summaries of important American History events at a lower reading level. These books will help my English Language Learners be able to better understand conversations in their core classes and empower them with the vocabulary and understanding of historical figures and events.

This project will directly impact historically underfunded classrooms.
