This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I am writing this proposal for my students who participate in our music program. Our school serves a large urban area and has a high percentage of students from low-income homes. Our student body is culturally diverse and provides our school community an opportunity to experience languages and customs from many cultures as we interact every day.

The goal of this project is to help make our classroom a fun place of music learning with exciting stories about music.

My students need more books to read. We have a few books in the music room, but the students need some more books that interest them. I want my students to learn to love reading about music as much as they love listening to the music.

This project will directly impact historically underfunded classrooms.
