Amazing Art Students Need New Work Tables

Help me give my students new work tables. Our current tables have the wooden tops splitting open, loose or broken legs and the surface is no longer smooth.

Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

As a teacher in a diverse school district, my students are faced with several challenges both in and out of the classroom. Despite the many challenges they face, I am constantly looking for different artistic ways to provide my students with creative and meaningful learning experiences.

My students are creative, clever and open-minded.

Our school is socially and culturally diverse, which makes for a great global learning experience. We are an accredited International Baccalaureate Middle Years Programme World School, we provide Dual Language classes to those whose primary language is not English, and are the district appointed School for the Deaf. Even with that much going for us, we need your help so we can soar to even greater heights

My Project

99% of all our student artwork is created on tabletops. Having a smooth, clean and stable work area is important when trying to draw, paint and even sculpt. The appearance of a classroom and the furniture in it set the mood for all the amazing possibilities that can be achieved in that space.

Having new art tables will impact hundreds of art students every year.

Current and future students shouldn't have to worry about getting splinters from the splittable edges. Students shouldn't have to worry about having a small workspace area so they are unable to work bigger. Students shouldn't have to worry about how the scratches on the tabletops, leave an impression on their paper artwork. New art tables would really help us create an even better classroom space and artwork.
