Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Imagine the frustration of not being able to present your presentation at school because the teacher's laptop is too old to open your program! They create a self-esteem presentation where they can use actual photos without damaging them to tell us a story about who they are and what their goals are.

I teach at a public school with children of all types of backgrounds.

Most have computer access but not all do. They often ask me to print for them and they bring me thumbdrives. I can't always help them. They want to do presentations using technology and I can't always play it for them. It makes everyone frustrated! Self-esteem is an important issue for 7th graders and they will create a presentation about themselves and how they feel about things. They get to share what is important to them. They also will love testing simulated blood because they are kids!

My Project

Technology is here and we would like to keep up. I would like to be able to have working technology in the classroom. This laptop can be attached to our projector and used to present to the whole class. They get so creative! I am amazed at how technology savvy they are. This will allow them another creative outlet.

This laptop and software will level the playing field and allow more students to present and show their talents.

I also included simulated blood testing because every child loves a little blood! It brings that science that they see on television to live and makes it real!
