All About the STEAM

Help me give my students 3D printing PLA filament, shave ice syrup for the end of hot days for my robotics team, and a refrigerator to hold drinks and snacks for all my students.

My Project

I wear many hats as a teacher here at MES. My 6th graders will be using computer aided design (CAD) programs to create 3D print designs. We need PLA filament to turn their designs into creations. As a robotics coach and student council advisor, I have students in my classroom during recesses and after school all the time, and need to store snacks, drinks, and food for many different functions from practices, tournaments, field trips and more. Now that I’ve taken on more roles, my mini fridge doesn’t have the storage capacity to hold enough snacks for my students.

My STEAM students need your help to provide us with the many needs of our always moving classroom.

As mentioned before, my extra curricular team and members are in my room often, and sometimes, they like to make shave ice for others on campus along with themselves too. It’s especially good when it’s a hot day in Hawaii after hours of coding, building a robot, planning a school clean-up, or spirit week. My students are extraordinary, and I want to provide them with all the tools necessary to be excellent!
