My Students

I am writing to tell you about our student run business called “Native Stylez”. Our students are from a double A high school, and this is their 6th year running this business. They are part of AIBL, American Indian Business Leaders.

Three years ago our high school AIBL Chapter designed their own “Native Stylez” T-Shirts.

The students range from grades 9-12. Two years ago we designed new T-Shirts and added hooded sweatshirts, sweat pants, beanies, and drawstring bags. We also have custom designed hats and baby bibs. Our student design and name is trademarked with our state(MT).

My Project

The American Indian Business Leaders (AIBL) is a student-based organization designed to promote and support the American Indian business student and/or entrepreneur. Future trends dictate a rising need for educated American Indian people to assist with tribal economic development planning and strategic implementation. AIBL’s Program and Chapter activities are designed to prepare all of our American Indian students for the challenge of leading our people into the future. This is a wonderful after-school program for our young American Indian entrepreneurs to stay active and involved in healthy and educational activities. In order to ready them for our national competition in the spring, a digital camera would greatly help as they need to present a PowerPoint presentation. Students need to take pictures of our monthly events such as Round Dances and Powwows and then import them into the PowerPoints. It always seems we do not have a camera when we most need it.

AIBL not only gives our Native youth somethng to get involved with after school, it also empowers them to be future leaders in their schools and community.

It also gives our students the necessary tools to become future successful entrepreneurs.
