My Project

Many students in my school are going through food shortages at home. My school provides breakfast and lunch, but for growing middle schoolers, that isn't always enough. Sometimes, even though it's provided for them, my students haven't mastered the self-regulation to take advantage of those provided meals. Then, they arrive to class, hungry and with their minds already occupied and not ready to learn.

Having a variety of healthy snacks around will allow them to feed their brains and be ready to learn.

A variety of these snacks ensures that no matter their tastes, there's something there they'll want to eat. Above all, they'll know that whether it's from a food shortage at home or because they weren't self-regulated enough to make sure they ate when a meal was provided, they have the nutrition available to be healthy and focused on their learning without interruption.

Ms. Ball will only receive her materials if this project is fully funded by September 5.
