My Project

Our Beta Club just placed 2nd in the 2024 NC Living Literature competition. In this competition your students choose a scene from a novel or script to recreate a moment in time. Our Beta students chose to recreate a scene from JK Rowling's Order of the Phoenix. We chose the scene in which Umbridge attempts to fire Trelawney and remove her from the Hogwarts campus, until Dumbledore comes in and saves the day.

We are going to the National Beta Club Convention!

The feedback the judges gave us suggested that we improve our set construction and costuming choices. I am requesting items to replace items that were used and/or were broken during the NC Beta Club Convention. I am requesting black gaff tape and zip ties to help with our setup. I am also asking for several black graduation gowns, the ones we used during the state competition were either shorter than we needed, or the zippers busted right before the competition started. I am also requesting ties and patches to use as accessories for our scene. As well as black and white paint to repair our hand painted backdrop.
