My students need LOTS of Bugs and Insects, and mounting kits to get them super excited and involved in the the world of entomology!

My Students

This is Part II of an existing project. Students are going to be investigating the fascinating world of insects. However, in order to do class experiments we need to have enough of the same insects for all of the students to examine. This is what I am hoping to fulfill with this request!

Our school is located in N.M.

As mentioned in the description to Part I- New Mexico is ranked as the 46th best state to raise a child. This project is going to allow me to make sure that the school systems are not responsible in any way to that rating. It is my mission to give these students the education they deserve, no matter their background or family situation.

My Project

Students will be actively engaging with real insects. In just one investigation students will be making pheromone trails for termites using common chemicals to see which one they will follow best. The reason I chose insects are because they represent what so many students need in their studies...to pay attention to detail! Insects are so awesome if you pay attention to the details!

Without these materials students will be limited in their investigations into insects.

There is something to be said about actually experiencing something versus looking it up on the Internet. Students need to have experience examining, thinking, and analyzing real animals and insects. Thank You for taking the time to consider this as a project to be funded!
