This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Project

All students benefit from positive reinforcements in the classroom! I am hoping that within a month all students will have earned enough points in this new reward system to earn a desk pet. We will use the 3D animal mini-erasers as pets, and the food and accessories erasers to build out a habitat! The Clear Plastic Mini Cupcake Containers will allow for the pet to remain on their desk as a visual motivation!

Students will also build on their writing skills sharing what pet they would like to adopt and why!

These desk pets will bring in the magic and can also act as reading buddies!

The wall decals will help with creating a desk pet adoption center to support students with norming around this new incentive plan!
