My students need a way to print their work. Most of my students do not have printers at home, and our school does not have any printers available to students.

Join our fight against scrivener's palsy (writer's cramp)! Can you imagine not being able to print your work in this day and age? Unfortunately, that's the situation my students face as most lack printers at home and our school does not have any printers available to them.
My science class is filled with incredibly motivated, bright, young 6th graders.
All my students are Inner-City kids who chose to attend our public charter 6th - 8th school, which is in the heart of our city. In my class, we participate in daily, hands-on science that encourages higher-level thinking and real world application. Just recently, we completed persuasive letters to our district Councilman. The letters detailed college-level environmental science concepts that my students mastered through their hands-on investigations. Our school qualifies for Title 1 funds and most of our students receive free or reduced meals. Regardless of where we come from, we all love our school and our culture of learning and respect. Our school truly is a special place, where teachers and students are motivated to do their best and be their best everyday.
To improve my students' ability to produce high quality work, all we're asking for is a printer. Currently, my students have no access to school printers and very few have printers at home. To help teach 21st Century skills, and prepare my students for an increasingly digital world, we need a printer to allow my students to print work that they complete at home or in school. My class already has a computer for my students to use but without a printer, it's limited to being an Internet research station. Furthermore, due to our Internet filters, the students can't even email me their completed work or research. A printer would allow my students to print work they've complete at home. It would save them time on draft work and allow them to practice their 21st century skills.
Your donation will help bring equality to my students' educations.
We live in an increasingly digital age, and my students are being left behind in a world of pen and paper. Something as simple as a printer will make an enormous difference in my students' ability to produce high-quality work.
