In a public charter school that pulls students from all over the state, serving a high population in Manchester. My students have a unique hunger for learning and discovering a wide variety of backgrounds and abilities. As a young school, we have big ideas with high energy and motivation.
As a public charter school, we receive one third to half the funding of traditional public schools in our state.
This creates a great inequity between our funding structure and those of neighboring schools in our geographic area. Therefore, we rely heavily on donations to support our expanding school. Thank you for your consideration and thoughtfulness to donate to this project.
My Project
As the visual arts department has continued to grow at our school, I am looking to create new ways of storing tools for students to use. Bins and buckets of supplies take up shelf space, which takes up valuable floor space. This pegboard system will allow for the vertical storage of tools at student height.
Students make art best when they know where tools are and can easily reach them.
Scissors, paint brushes, coloring utensils, glue, tape, and so much more can be stored in a vertical system rather than in closed cabinets high out of reach. Students who are self-sufficient in finding the supplies they need to produce thoughtful beautiful work.
