Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

This project provides adaptive, low-cost art and craft materials for our highest-need students who are unable to attend the general education art class. Many of these learners require sensory-friendly tools, simplified materials, and small-group instruction to access creative experiences that support fine motor skills, communication, emotional regulation, and self-esteem. The requested supplies: mess-free paint through Crayola Color Wonder, crafting supplies, papers, yarn, tacky glue, and other supplies, are chosen to be safe, versatile, and easy to use across ability levels.

Using these materials, my team will run small-group art sessions and individual learning opportunities that:

*Teach basic art techniques and creative choice-making

*Support sensory integration and calming strategies

*Build fine motor control and hand-eye coordination

*Encourage social interaction, language development, and self-expression

*Produce take-home projects to share progress with families
