I work support students with diverse learning needs in our self contained classrooms. We have students ranging from needing assistance with every activity and helping them match colors all the way to students that may go to an alternative post-graduation program like HCC V.A.S.T. or Alvin CC STRIVE programs. While we do have some yearly budget for supplies we use a lot of that funding to cover necessities for emergency hygiene needs of our students, backup toileting materials when parents are behind on sending replacements, and medical items to help keep the employees safe as well such as gloves, band aids, and cleaning supplies.
