Activities to Help Bridge the Gaps Caused by Covid-19!

Help me give my students the small group instruction they deserve! Getting these headphones will allow me to pull small groups and give my students small group attention to fill those gaps that were created because of COVID-19.

My Students

My students make me so proud and I wish they could see themselves through my eyes. Everyday they come to school ready to learn with a smile on their face. Our school is 100% on free breakfast and lunch, with 90% of my class alone being multi-language learners. They each bring something so special to our classroom family, and thrive off helping each other and growing together.

As a first year teacher myself, they have opened my eyes to the vast amounts of curiosity, grit, and determination a small child can have.

I love this group of kids, and their willingness to learn.

My Project

Literacy instruction is HUGE in 1st grade, and due to the on going pandemic, our students are below where they should be. Students started 1st grade not knowing their letter sounds, so I have had to start at square one to bridge the gaps and get them ready for second grade!

The pandemic has been hard on everyone, but my students have been stronger than I could have ever imagined.

During my small group instruction time, I find myself always having to interrupt my groups to help students with technological issues, normally caused by the headphones. Getting these headphones from Amazon would allow my time to be focused on my small group instruction, and give my students my undivided attention.

As a first year teacher myself, I am in great need of these Lakeshore resources. They will improve my overall classroom instruction, and aide my multi-language learners immensely.
