My Project

My students are energetic, curious, and love to move! Physical activity is essential to their growth, and this project will help them build strong bodies, develop motor skills, and learn the value of teamwork through fun and engaging activities.

We are requesting age-appropriate equipment to support physical wellness both in and outside of the classroom.

With hula hoops, students will build gross motor skills, hand-eye coordination, and balance. We’ll also use them in group games like "Castleball" to create towers and relay races to keep movement fun and interactive.

Colored cones will help with organizing activities and guiding students during relays and obstacle courses. Batons, egg-and-spoon sets, and beanbags will be used in races that encourage teamwork, balance, and perseverance. How Fun!

Our current balls and hoops are not ideal for our younger students. We’re asking for Gator skin balls to safely teach catching and throwing skills, and child-sized basketballs and soccer balls for age-appropriate play. The smaller basketball nets will allow our youngest learners to experience success, which builds confidence and encourages continued participation. These activities also promote cardiovascular health, stronger muscles and bones, and better coordination.

Finally, we need a cart and ball bags to store and organize the equipment so it’s accessible for daily use and easy to transport for outdoor activities.

This equipment will make physical education more inclusive, structured, and exciting. It will help students build lifelong healthy habits, improve social skills, and have fun through movement.
