My Project

My students need to have access to portable playground equipment, anchor chart paper, and headphones to help with social and emotional learning opportunities in and outside the classroom. My students will use these materials during their recess time, during small group instruction, and in cooperative learning groups.

Activating and encouraging physical activities with classroom peers is crucial for development during elementary school.

"Recess has proven to help students with improving memory, attention, and concentration." Elementary school students also learn how to communicate, use self-control, and persevere during outdoor activities. These key social skills are vital for future development when students join extracurricular activities.
