Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I teach students special needs with speech impairment, totaling 50 inquisitive and deserving students. There are several students who newly arrived to the country who are eager to learn, but struggle with their speech. My students engage in everyday lessons that are print rich, engaging, and thought provoking.

I encourage them to use all learning modalities and intelligences.

All students receive related services and lessons are modified to satisfy their learning needs. We are an inclusive and diverse school who practice tolerance, acceptance, and social emotional learning.

With the new methods of teaching and learning, lessons are meaningful and engaging while using technology. Students are technologically creative and use tools, such as Google Classroom, slides and forms to name a few.

With this new shift, students need printed materials that are vibrant and have elaborate illustrations. Writing is one of the most complex tasks for all students, and particularly for students with learning disability and special needs. Utilizing illustrations and various writing models, students become stronger learners. We thank you for your support in helping us obtain a new printer.
