Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My students have worked hard all school year to learn. They start the year by identifying the difference between a letter and a number. Then they learn how to recognize letter sounds, apply those sounds to make words, and also add and subtract numbers.

Now that the school year is slowly getting close to the end, my students deserve to celebrate all the hard work they did throughout the year.

The ABC countdown starts the last twenty-six days of school. We start with the letter A and end with the letter Z. Each letter has its own theme beginning with that letter. The dinosaur eggs will go along with the letter "D" for dinosaur day. The camping decorations and teepee will help transform the classroom into the great outdoors for "camping day" for the letter "C". We will talk about camping safety and read books in the dark with flashlights.

Having this project funded will allow my students the opportunity to end their first year of school with amazing fun memories and to celebrate how much they have learned in such a short amount of time.
