High Quality Purposeful Play is a time in kindergarten where students are able to play, but in an academic setting. During play, students engage in active learning by being hands on. They can generate ideas and reconstruct experiences, all while supporting academic learning. Students learn in academically enriched centers. Providing science centers where children can learn about living things and life cycles, art centers that celebrate diversity, as seen in the classroom, and a writing center that promotes reading and writing will give them the tools needed to become successful kindergartners. Please help support the imagination, creativity, and eagerness of my kindergarten students. They deserve to learn in a fun and engaging environment.
