Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

We are a Title I school. We have students from every background here. With that said over 50% of the students taking AP exams are Hispanic/Latino, and 5% are African American/Black. These students are typically in 11th and 12th grade.

My Project

Many of our students come to school with two shirts on. Some of the students who have a jacket do not have a head covering.

These hoodies will be distributed to our academy students who desparately needs a warm coat.

The coordianted hoodie will make the students feel part of something as they look around the campus and see others wearing simular clothing. We are trying to do what we can for students’ health and welfare during this trying time of Covid-19. We hope you help us give a little smile to the students.
