Help me give my students a printer for the ability to learn math visually! As I cannot regularly print materials and we do not have take home textbooks, this printer would allow me to create visual lessons for my creative students.

Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
I teach Geometry and upper level Precalculus and Calculus. My students are amazing. Every day they strive for greatness, and I am on my feet from bell to bell to help get them there.
My students are as diverse as their interests--I have dancers, artists, thespians, and singers learning Calculus alongside athletes and advanced IB students--but unfortunately, our school and district lacks funding and technology to give them all they need to learn math.
My students love to learn visually and thoughtfully. We spend class thinking about why we do what we do in class (hint: it's so we can use it out there!). Through connecting the graphical, analytical, and conceptual ideas to the applications, I tell my students that their job is to use math to become better human beings and to benefit society. Passing AP tests or scoring well on the ACT is a perk they get along the way!
My Project
Since our student population is incredibly diverse, they have diverse learning styles. We do not have reliable printing or copying at our school, and we don't have take home textbooks.
With this project, I will be able to create tailored visual lessons that students can use to help comprehend mathematics; lessons that they can write on, digest, see, and take home.
No student should spend all class writing notes--they need to listen, interact with, and think about the content. By giving them printed materials with graphs and pictorial representations, I hope to allow them to connect the algebra to the graphical in order to develop a robust conceptual understanding. In do so, these lessons aim to boost their ability to communicate and apply the often abstract math they are learning.
