Since our student population is incredibly diverse, they have diverse learning styles. We do not have reliable printing or copying at our school, and we don't have take home textbooks. With this project, I will be able to create tailored visual lessons that students can use to help comprehend mathematics; lessons that they can write on, digest, see, and take home. No student should spend all class writing notes--they need to listen, interact with, and think about the content. By giving them printed materials with graphs and pictorial representations, I hope to allow them to connect the algebra to the graphical in order to develop a robust conceptual understanding. In do so, these lessons aim to boost their ability to communicate and apply the often abstract math they are learning.
