My Project

Our Guitar Club is built on the belief that every student deserves the chance to make music on an instrument that plays and sounds its best. Over time, our guitars have become worn from frequent use, with loose hardware, worn frets, and old strings affecting their tone and playability. The maintenance and repair tools in this project will allow us to restring, adjust, clean, and fine-tune our instruments so they are comfortable to play and produce the rich, clear sound our students deserve. By learning how to use these tools, students will also gain valuable hands-on skills in instrument care—knowledge they can carry with them well beyond high school.

The right tools will keep our music program running strong.

When guitars are in top condition, students are more motivated to practice, more confident in performance, and more inspired to explore new musical challenges. Instead of being frustrated by equipment that won’t stay in tune or sounds dull, they’ll be able to focus on their technique, creativity, and collaboration. This project will also give us the ability to address small issues before they become bigger (and more expensive) problems, ensuring that our instruments last for many years to come.

Our students are dedicated, creative, and passionate about music. Many of them had never picked up a guitar before joining our club, but through hard work and perseverance, they’ve grown into confident players who support and inspire each other. For them, the guitar is more than just an instrument, it’s a voice, a community, and an outlet for self-expression. With your support, we can give them the tools they need to keep that voice strong, clear, and ready for every stage they step onto.
