Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
I am asking for several items to create classroom STEM bins. STEM bins encourage students to create, invent, and solve problems using real-world challenges. I would like to replace my morning work by implementing these bins to get my students into thinking creatively first thing in the morning. I could also use these bins for early finishers and even as student incentives.
Using STEM bins as my morning work will be just what my students need to learn to work with one another after having gone so long without being in the classroom due to covid.
Students will not only learn teamwork but also get hands on and communicate with others. They need to be able to play and have fun with their classmates again.
The phonics bundle has everything for hands-on phonics fun and practice! This bundle will help me facilitate my small groups with teaching word family and word building. It comes with flip books, phonics dice games, activities to build and sound out words with write and wipe mini boards and magnetic letters. This has engaging touch and read match up activities that will help my students master CVC words, blends, digraphs and vowel sounds. All of course which lends a hand in helping me set a strong foundation in reading to help all students who seemed to have slipped during covid. Reading leads to knowledge and knowledge is power!
The folders and clipboards are some helpful classroom additions that we will be using daily. I know all my students will get so excited for some hands on STEM bin fun and phonics games!
