Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

As the school counselor at a Title I elementary school, I have the privilege of celebrating the incredible accomplishments of our students every day. Many of our students, especially those receiving special education services, work tirelessly to overcome academic, social, emotional, and behavioral challenges. Their successes—whether mastering a new skill, meeting an IEP goal, improving attendance, demonstrating positive behavior, or persevering through a difficult day—deserve to be recognized in meaningful ways.

Our school is requesting a slushie machine to provide students in our Special Education program with a fun and memorable incentive; a refreshing frozen treat is more than just a reward—it creates excitement, builds positive relationships, and motivates students to continue striving toward their personal goals.

This project is about much more than a frozen drink. It is about creating moments of happiness, strengthening relationships, encouraging resilience, and recognizing the unique accomplishments of students who work every day to overcome challenges. With your generosity, we can continue fostering a school environment where every student feels seen, encouraged, and proud of their achievements.
