Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Children are all natural scientists. They ask question about everything under the sun. A trip to the Academy of Sciences will answer some of their questions, while stimulating them to question their world further.

We are a title one public school in northern California.

We are very busy group. The children at my school are practically leaping out of their seats with curiosity. They love science, animals, and the natural world around them. They are also very passionate about saving the earth. They are responsible for recycling weekly at our school. It would be great for them to see a green museum in action.

My Project

Children must experience the world, not just read about it. Although they live close to the Academy of Sciences museum, many will never go without your help. Children can really understand the layers of the rain forest after they walk around in one. They notice so much more about a feather when a penguin ruffles his. Jellyfish seem to sparkle under the water, but not in a book about the ocean. You will bring their favorite non-fiction stories to life.

Simply put, children must experience the world to understand it.

Your donation will enable my students to see, feel, and understand concepts they have only read about. Trips like these create memories that will last a lifetime. Thank you for considering our proposal.
