A Sticky Situation

Help me give my students glue sticks, a quarter collection book, and other materials for various classroom projects.

My Project

We are 5 months into our school year. You know--that time when I realize I should have ordered more laminating pages, glue sticks, and cutting mats. The laminating pouches will be used for making long-lasting manipulatives. These might include food chain components, body system matching games, or break-out room materials for test reviews. The cutting mats will be used for our classroom cutting matching. Our machine, a Brother Scan N Cut, is utilized especially for students who have difficulty with fine motor skills. It can cut out materials quickly so that time can be saved.

For the last few years, students in grades 4-6 science classes have been making interactive notebooks.

An interactive notebook is a way for students to organize their notes in a creative, reflective, artistic way. The students love their notebooks. Students who previously had a difficult time staying organized now proudly display beautiful notebooks that are full of colors, tabs, fold-outs, pockets, and lots of science information. But all of that is going to come to a screeching halt if we don't get more glue sticks. As you can tell, this is a very sticky (or shall I say "unsticky?") situation.

And the quarter binder? We have a new student in our classroom who would love to start his own quarter collection. He'll be able to learn about the United States while saving a little money.
