Your contribution helped us make it to the end of the year, with every student completing a beautiful notebook. \r\n\r\nState testing can be a stressful part of the school year for students. At our school, we try to also make this a fun time, and the snacks for this project helped with that. What can be better than Rice Krispy Treats and Goldfish snacks to deal with stress? The students really enjoyed having little snack breaks. \r\n\r\nPersonally, I have used the laminating sheets to make long-lasting materials for students to use for many years. One recent project I laminated was a chore chart for the new classroom. \r\n\r\nThanks again for your generosity. Science is the sum of efforts of thousands of people. As children study the people of science, they learn important principals, such as perseverance, trial and error, and creativity. The scientists serve as role models.\r\n\r\nThe best part about this project is that many students for years to come will be able to use these books. Our mini-library is an important addition to our science classroom. It is being used daily. My favorite part is the flexibility it has given me as a teacher. It's functionality has allowed me to sit or stand during instruction. Being that it's on casters, I can maneuver the desk to face my students and create a more personable experience. It can also be adjusted to my students' height giving them the opportunity to share their work on the big screen. \r\n\r\nJust last week I used this adjustable desk to introduce a math and writing project. I was able to turn the desk to face my students and deliver instructions while using the document camera to share the assignment. Without this desk, my back would have been to my students making my directions and instruction less effective. Each time I use them my students are excited and willing to play the games. I always hear comments such as, \"This is so much fun!\" and \"I love this game!\" One student said she was going to ask her mom to buy her one of the games. I love when my students love learning!\r\n\r\nThe games have made learning to read easy and enjoyable even for my most reluctant readers. I have seen gains from nearly every student! I love that my students can progress through the games to work on more challenging reading skills.
