My Students

Our elementary school students are smart, funny and creative. They love hands-on learning that engages the heart and the mind. In science, they enjoy STEAM activities that include science, technology, engineering, art, and mathematics. They also love opportunities to collaborate and share ideas. My goal as the STEAM lab educator is to develop creativity, innovation, and critical thinking skills in every student. Through an integrated STEAM curriculum, our students will learn the skills they need to become innovators and future changemakers. Please consider donating to our elementary school science program.

My Project

Our community, schools, and especially our students were deeply impacted by Hurricane Michael. Hurricane Michael made landfall on October 10, 2018, and caused widespread destruction throughout our county. Our students were out of school for more than 6 weeks as schools, businesses, and families recovered from the damage. A year later, we are still recovering from the impact of this hurricane. Our students deserve the best. They deserve to learn and to grow despite the loss that surrounds them.

Help us to build a STEAM Lab where our students are encouraged to investigate, explore, and innovate.

With the lab tables and chairs, students will enter into a STEAM Lab that will invite them to engage, explore, investigate, and innovate. The tables are mobile, which will allow the room to change based on the activities. I teach 3rd, 4th, and 5th-grade students in the STEAM lab. Each day is different and each lab is unique to the students I see. The mobile tables and chairs will provide a space for every investigation and every exploration.

The STEAM Lab will be a place where the foundation for a lifelong love for science is poured. Our wonderful elementary students have been through so much. Please help us to give them a place where anything is possible!
